Friday, August 27
August 31, 2010 at 12:10 am | Posted in Cruiser Recaps | Leave a commentSunny, hot Friday started with a chill and an alarm – I was inside the rink for the Kentville Silver Gliders’ fundraising BBQ when the alarm went off at the adjacent fire station so I had to hold off my interview with Joey Russell, the guest for the days skates.
This clip is actually from AVR since it got cut off on the Magic 94.9 log:
I stopped by the Berwick Rec offices to promote the charity softball game that night (coverage on Jerry Neville’s blog, link on top right of page) before going to sumo wrestle at the Greenwood Mall as yet another back to school promotion (full coverage on Hunter Brule’s Blog).
The last event for the day was a fundrasier for the Matthew 25 food bank at the Windsor Farmer’s Market, with collection jars at all the vendors and a prize basket for added donations.
- Sheryl from the Silver Gliders with Joey Russell and a few of the skaters.
- The set-up in Greenwood.
- The announcing crew who later became the fight club.
- Getting suited up
- Looks like an elbow drop is happening.
- A look at the Windsor gift basket.
