Clip of the Week – May 25-31

Believe it or not, this guy was staring me down and distracting me.

It happened. I got caught off guard going live on the radio. 2+ accident-free years down the drain.

Talking to Mike earlier I thought it would be recorded, so explained how it would go to the students who would come on with me. Then he switched it to a live broadcast and managed to get me while I was explaining how it would work to them in that case (I have a spiel about not grabbing the phone and stomping on it repeatedly even though that hasn’t ever happened).

It’s interesting how this COTW came from the last non-Apple Blossom event, since the goal of my first three weeks was to get in prime shape for the festival that sees our listening audience go waaaay up.

It’s also interesting how I react when I find out I’m live on air: “Deal.”

It’s like I’m thinking ”All right Mike, I accept your surprise invitation to talk on the radio. Let’s learn more about this prom fundraiser.”

These Clips of the Week have quickly turned into a sort of blooper reel, luckily for me I have lots of other clips of me not messing up for balance’s sake.
